5 premium tile trends to follow in 2026
Large formats, terrazzo reinvented, the return of contemporary zellige, warm gradients, tactile finishes. The aesthetic directions for 2026.

1. Large format, right up to the ceiling
80×180 and 120×240 slabs are becoming the norm, laid full height in bathrooms and entrances. The ‘monolith’ effect is deliberate, and the joints all but disappear.
Fewer joints also mean easier upkeep and a sense of space. On the other hand, large format forgives no flaw in the substrate: the laying plan is drawn before the first slab goes down.
2. Terrazzo reinvented
Large-format ceramic terrazzo is taking over from the traditional method, for faster work on site. The marble inclusions can be matched to your palette.
3. Contemporary zellige
Beyond the traditional 10×10, zellige is back in elongated formats, such as the 5×15 bejmat laid in a chevron pattern, and in shades not seen before: sage green, burnt ochre.
4. Warm gradients
From Sahara sand to terracotta, by way of ochres and siennas: the 2026 palette warms up Moroccan interiors, which until now had stayed minimalist, in cool neutrals.
5. Tactile finishes
Surfaces are no longer only seen, they are touched. Brushed, micro-grooved, honed: satin is taking over from high-gloss polish.
In practice
At Amarchy, these trends show in the references on display at the Skhirat showroom: large-format porcelain, honed or brushed travertine, Fez zellige, terrazzo.
Come and see and touch them: we help you choose the material to suit the room, its use and your budget.
