Full renovation of a seaside villa. Floors, walls, staircase, kitchen, terrace and pool surround. Travertin Onyx as the centrepiece.
The context
A 1980s villa in need of a complete overhaul: 380 m² over two floors, 200 metres from the seafront. A setting by the sea and exceptional light, but a dated structure and finishes that needed redoing.
The vision
Preserve the flow of the spaces and bring a premium level of finish, while keeping a warm, coastal atmosphere.
The material choices
- Interior floors: Travertin Onyx, 80×180 cm, honed finish
- Main bathroom: Calacatta marble from floor to ceiling
- Terraces and pool surround: brushed R11 travertine, treated against salt
- Kitchen: bespoke furniture in solid walnut, a 6 mm technical porcelain worktop and an emerald bejmat zellige splashback

5 months on site, from the survey to the handover. A site meeting every week. Not one day over schedule.
